A snapshot of my day--silly boys. Lucas doesn't have a peg leg, he is just messing around :)
Lucas's fingernails were getting really long, and I needed to trim them. He told me he wanted to do it himself, "I am four and I need to learn to do these things." No arguing with that, so he started clipping. I thought he would quit when he snipped too close then come ask for my help. He finished and they looked really good. I enjoy it when they grow up and become less dependent. That doesn't mean I won't cry like a baby when he goes to school.

Wow! I love that too, when they want to do things for themselves and then they're actually able to do it! I really should trust my child more. I just don't like having to clean up the mess afterward. haha
