Pregnant Life.

Yup, I think it's official I have passed the not just chubby, but looking pretty pregnant line. I have been asked several times for photos of me while pregnant, so Sunday (usually the only day I do my hair) I had Adam take a few pictures. I am feeling pretty good, though running is almost out of the picture, my ligaments just can't take it for much longer. I have a race this Saturday, then I think I will call it quits and become a walker (eek) for the next few months. I will miss it because I really enjoy running and so does Lucas. When I take him for fitness walks he tries to pump the stroller to make me go faster or will just come out and beg me, "Faster Mommy, faster." I'll aslo miss it because I don't want to loose my gains completely. Oh well, I have to find something else to do. Anyways. Here are the photos. As of this week I have almost sworn off pre-pregnancy jeans because little boy is needing things extra roomy, but I am clinging to more options in my closet. Oh, sometimes I can be so vain. Lucas and I still get around in with our "motorcycle". I am the engine on my bike, and he hangs out in our Burley bike trailer and cheers me on. It has been a great way to keep a lazy and getting lazier pregnant girl active. The baby is doing great, and measuring healthy, I have a great OB, and can't wait to see this little tyke's face.

View of the front

3/4 veiw. I didn't realize it until after we were done that black on black doesn't show a belly very well, but I hope you can make out what is me and what is the fireplace. Oh, and I got a new haircut last week too. I like it. It is really easy to do, and as a plus with the humidity I get a tiny bit of a wave, yay! Out west my hair had no body.

Here are some of our favorite things to do in the Summer. We haven't included any photos of the water park because I don't dare take my camera and have it stolen or ruined. It has been such a great summer, and I wish it could go on forever. We have learned a lot. Yesterday Lucas and I went for a run. After about three and a half miles, Lucas asked if he could push the stroller. I let him out and he walked and/or pushed the stroller for almost a mile. I was very proud of him for being so desirous to help mom.

When it gets hot out we head to the basement to play baseball. I guess he thought he needed a batting helmet. Mom is freaking out about spiders less because she had a bug guy attempt to kill them all.

We went to a children's play two weeks ago. Here he is with Pinocchio. HE really enjoyed the play and was on the edge of his seat the entire time. It was a good learning experience for me because I had two of my friends children with me and was able to juggle all three with the help from Chrissy, a friend we attended the play with. It was great fun to try to keep them all under my wing. I did get some strange looks with a pregnant belly, a four month old and two toddlers.

Lucas loves drawing diggers with mom. We also love to trace hands and feet, mom took it to new heights when we traced his entire body. He thought that was very cool, and lied on it face down when I was done. Silly boy. We also draw roads for the diggers to drive on, that is usually Lucas' favorite job.

Christmas in July

My sweet husband cracks me up. It isn't Christmas, but I haven't seen him this excited in a long time. He got the new IPhone, and is very pleased. He researched it for several months, everyday to see what new features and applications would be on it. He would tell me about the cool things he learned at dinner, at bedtime, and so on. As you can see, even pouring rain couldn't keep him from going to pick it up the day his shipped to the store. I think he would have camped out in front of the store the day it came out if he didn't have to work so early every day. (Luckily he wan't sooooo obsesed he wanted to take a vaccation day to pick it up the first day.) So here it is, and it is pretty cool. He has found a bunch of fun games, and having the internet everywhere you go is really nice, especially while shopping. Oh yeah, and he can be more organized. Lucas is in awe about it too, but doesn't get to use it much because Lucas isn't know for his gentleness. I love playing Sudoku on it, it is just a fun new toy. I won't be getting one though because of my dropping-phone-in-water habbits. I just don't trust my slippery fingers with something I am bound to break. I'll just enjoy his.

Adam has started to play soccer again, twice a week when he gets the chance. Lucas has noticed the change, and has taken interest in the sport too. He found Daddy's shin guards and put them on. He cracks me up all the time. He calls them his rocks. He had called them that when he first put them on, and I just had to ask them what they were called again. Then he headed of to our closet to find his "rocks". I love two-year-olds they really crack me up. He found them again, and has them on almost by himself. Oh the fun of rainy days.

Fourth of July for us.

We had some of Adam's side of the family for fourth of July. Brent and Lalani were on their way for a vacation back east, and we partied on the fourth while they were here. This was Lucas' first chance to really participate because he has just been too little the last two years. He really enjoyed the snakes. Mom had to build a tower of matches over the snakes to get them hot enough long enough to work. The fountains were fun too, and he clapped with excitement. He also enjoyed some sparklers with his cousin Megan. It is really fun to celebrate Independence day out here because they go all out. It looks like a professional fireworks show on almost every could-a-sac. It was so pretty. It was also nice because Lucas was ready for be a little early, and we didn't make it to the Derby city's display.

Definately Male

We are going to have little boy number two in November. We had the ultrasound yesterday, and everything looked very good. The baby is measuring bigger than my current due-date and so we don't know if the doctor will move us up or not. Lucas was measuring smaller at this point, so we don't really know. We watched the little boy jump on my bladder during the ultrasound, which was really funny to see. We are so excited, and are happy to share our good news. No names yet, but if you have a suggestion, please drop it off in our comment box. I don't have a scanner, but will try to find a way to put a couple of pictures up online. Lucas really enjoyed looking at the baby and even noticed an ear. He was very proud of himself.

My two favorite people in the whole world.
Lucas is growing strong under the guidance of his terrific father. I love watching the two of them play together. Lucas wants to do everything like Daddy. I can't wait until we have another little soul to guide.

We should find out next Tuesday if we will be having a little boy or girl. So check back, I will be sure to post it here as soon as I get the chance.

Things are going great here. We have been swimming almost everyday. Today I get to go have lunch with some of my closest friends here in Derby. I have such a great group of friends here. It makes being away from family a little easier. I will try to have some photos of our event.

Yeah, just a lot of Lazy summer days for us lately.
